677 people can't be wrong, can they? We must be doing something right. That's how many people came to Jerry Pond for our 7th annual Kid's Day on Saturday, July 2. This is the third biggest crowd we have had, with 319 being kids. Once again due to a small parking lot, some had to walk the length of the Jerry Pond road to get there. I have the  highest admiration for these people. It is a long way to walk, but the smiles on the kid's faces have the parents saying it was worth it. This year we gave away 2 bicycles and raffled off another one. Grace Bouchard and Noah Tibbits won the bikes that we gave away and Lori Fitzgerald won the one we raffled off. The Millinocket Elks, The American Legion Family and the VFW put in a lot of time and energy to make sure the kids have a good time. I have one of the best jobs, besides being co-chair, I get to take the pictures of the kids and their families. After that I get to pick out the pictures we use on our website. Its not easy, I took over 100 pictures this year. Next year we plan to have the BIG SLIDE added to our games and fun houses.
